Going a perfect 4-0 over the weekend, the girls showed once again why they’re one of the most exciting young teams in the game right now. Saturday's pool play was pure domination. They opened with a commanding 45-17 win over Columbus Heat, then turned up the intensity even more with a 40-6 rout of the Lancers.
On Sunday, the squad didn’t miss a beat. They knocked off SW Shelby 40-14 in the semifinals before setting up a rematch against Columbus Heat in the championship game. The girls turned up the pressure with smothering defense and unselfish team play, cruising to a 44-23 victory and another well-earned championship trophy.
This team has been on a tear all spring—and they’re not done yet. With their eyes now set on the Reebok World Championships in St. Louis (July 18-20), the girls are hungry for more. And let’s be real: with the way they’ve been playing, a World Championship run is absolutely in reach.
Stay tuned—this group is just getting started.
