Southern Indiana’s TSI Prime 6th grade boys’ basketball team made a statement at one of the largest youth basketball tournaments in Bowling Green history. Competing in the 8
th Annual WK Bluegrass March Madness Tournament on March 29-30, they dominated a field of 10 teams, going undefeated and bringing home the championship.
Using an aggressive zone press and relentless rotations, TSI Prime wore down their opponents both physically and mentally. The result? A weekend of lopsided victories and a championship trophy to show for it.
Pool Play: Statement Wins
TSI Prime set the tone early in Saturday’s pool play:
Game 1: A jaw-dropping 50-5 victory over Clutch Elite.
Game 2: Another commanding win, 50-24, against Up Next 2031.
Sunday Tournament Play: Total Domination
The dominance continued in bracket play:
Quarterfinals: A 70-26 rout of Vision Elite.
Semifinals: Another blowout, 70-24, over the Alabama Lions.
Championship: In their toughest test of the weekend, TSI Prime secured the title with a 53-35 victory, bringing the championship back to Southern Indiana.
This stacked squad features talented players from Seymour, Crothersville, Scottsburg, Austin, Brownstown, and Silver Creek. Their chemistry, depth, and relentless pressure made them unstoppable in Bowling Green.
