Coach Clint Bohman to Lead the Charge for TSI 2029 Adidas 3SGB Circuit Team
IBC Team Southern Indiana Adds Proven Championship Coach to Lead 2029 Boys
Team Southern Indiana is excited to announce the addition of Coach Clint Bohman, who will lead the TSI 2029 16U Boys as the program continues its pathway on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
For TSI, this addition represents much more than putting an accomplished coach on the sideline. It represents our continued commitment to bringing the principles that have made Southern Indiana high school basketball special — discipline, preparation, toughness, fundamentals, accountability and TEAM basketball — into the grassroots game.
Coach Bohman checks every one of those boxes.
Bohman spent five seasons as the varsity boys basketball head coach at Jac-Cen-Del High School, compiling a 72-56 record while building the Eagles into one of Class A's most successful programs during his tenure.
His accomplishments included:
Two IHSAA Sectional Championships
Two IHSAA Regional Championships
2022 Class A Final Four / Semi-state appearance
Ohio River Valley Conference Championship
Ripley County Tournament Championship
2021-22 ORVC Coach of the Year
72 varsity wins in five seasons as a head coach
Bohman's 2021-22 Jac-Cen-Del team captured conference, sectional and regional championships before advancing to the Class A Final Four. The following season, the Eagles did it again, winning another sectional and regional championship.
Following his successful five-year run at Jac-Cen-Del, Bohman returned to his Batesville roots and joined the Batesville High School boys basketball staff as a varsity assistant. In his first season on the staff, Batesville finished 20-5, capturing the Ripley County Tournament, EIAC Conference Championship and an IHSAA Sectional Championship.
Bringing School-Ball Principles to Grassroots Basketball
The addition of Coach Bohman represents exactly where Team Southern Indiana wants to continue taking our program.
Grassroots basketball provides tremendous opportunities for players: national competition, exposure to college coaches and the opportunity to compete against talented players from across the country.
But TSI believes those opportunities should never come at the expense of learning how to play the game the right way.
We want our teams to look like well-coached basketball teams.
We want players who defend.
Players who communicate.
Players who understand roles.
Players who make the extra pass.
Players who value possessions.
Players who compete for one another.
WE NOT ME.
Southern Indiana has a tremendous high school basketball tradition, built by generations of outstanding coaches and players. TSI's goal is to take those same values and principles and carry them onto some of the biggest grassroots stages in the country.
Coach Bohman embodies that philosophy.
His teams at Jac-Cen-Del were successful because they played together, competed, defended and understood what winning basketball required. Those are exactly the characteristics we want associated with Team Southern Indiana.
Developing Players — and Preparing Them to Win
Our mission isn't simply to assemble talented players and enter high-level tournaments.
We want to develop basketball players.
We want our athletes to return to their high school programs every November better prepared to help their school teams win.
That means skill development, but it also means learning how to compete within a system, understanding basketball concepts, becoming better teammates and being held accountable.
TSI believes grassroots basketball and high school basketball should complement one another — not compete against one another.
Bringing coaches with proven high school success into our program is another step toward accomplishing that mission.
With Coach Bohman leading the TSI 2029 Boys, our athletes will be coached by someone who understands what championship-level preparation, accountability and team basketball look like.
The Next Chapter
As Team Southern Indiana continues to grow, our expectations continue to grow with it.
We want to provide Southern Indiana players with opportunities to compete on a national stage while staying true to the basketball values that have defined this part of the state for generations.
Local roots. High-level coaching. National opportunities.
Coach Clint Bohman has already proven that he knows how to build winning basketball teams.
Now, he'll bring that experience to Team Southern Indiana.
Coach Bohman will lead the charge for the TSI 2029 Boys on the Adidas 3SGB circuit.
The standard continues to rise.
WE NOT ME.
TEAM SOUTHERN INDIANA
