Coach Ricky Odle to Lead IBC Team Southern Indiana 15U Adidas 3-Stripes Gold Team

Team Southern Indiana continues to strengthen its coaching staff with the addition of Charlestown High School varsity assistant Ricky Odle, who will take the reins of the IBC Team Southern Indiana 15U Boys Adidas Circuit team.

Coach Odle brings a combination of high school and grassroots basketball experience that fits perfectly with the direction of Team Southern Indiana.

Currently a varsity assistant at Charlestown High School under Head Coach Matt Lynch, Odle has also spent years on the grassroots basketball scene, coaching and developing players from throughout Southern Indiana.

His grassroots résumé includes leading Southern Indiana Blaze, where his teams gained attention on the Prep Hoops circuit for their pace, defensive intensity and unselfish style of play.

During the 2022 season, Odle's Southern Indiana Blaze 14U team exceeded expectations on the Prep Hoops NEXT circuit and advanced into one of the top brackets at the National Championship in Kansas City.

Despite often playing without great size, Odle developed a style built around speed, spacing and versatility. His team transitioned to a motion-based, positionless offense designed to create space and give players opportunities to make plays.

On the other end of the floor, defense became part of the team's identity.

That combination — toughness, player development, unselfish basketball and the ability to adapt — made Odle an ideal fit for Team Southern Indiana.

Odle has continued his work in grassroots basketball as the head coach of Indiana Elite Southeast 2030 with great success, while also serving on the Charlestown varsity staff.

Now he will take the next step.

Odle will lead IBC Team Southern Indiana 15U as the program competes on the Adidas 3-stripes circuit, giving another group of Southern Indiana athletes an opportunity to compete on a national stage.

For TSI, the hire represents something even bigger.

As Team Southern Indiana continues to grow, the program remains committed to putting experienced Southern Indiana school-ball coaches on the sidelines of its top circuit teams.

TSI isn't interested in simply collecting talent.

We want to develop it.

We want coaches who teach the game, hold players accountable, understand team basketball and know what it takes to prepare young men for the next level.

Coach Ricky Odle checks every one of those boxes.

His teams have played fast. They've defended. They've shared the basketball. They've competed nationally. And throughout his grassroots career, Odle has worked with athletes from multiple Southern Indiana communities and school programs.

That experience will be invaluable as he brings together some of the region's top Class of 2030 talent under one banner.

IBC Team Southern Indiana. They weill also play under the name TSI Prime on non Adidas Circuit events.

Southern Indiana players. Southern Indiana coaches. National opportunities.

And now another proven Southern Indiana basketball coach will lead the way.

Welcome to TSI, Coach Ricky Odle.

WE NOT ME.
