TSI Blows Through Bowling Green Like a Storm!

Updated: Apr 10

Team Southern Indiana Basketball (TSI) rolled into Bowling Green with 7 powerhouse teams ready to show what they were made of at the Bluegrass March Madness tournament. And let’s just say… they made an impact.

Saturday’s Pool Play: A Dominating Force

TSI came out on fire, finishing pool play with an impressive 13-1 record and earning six #1 seeds heading into Sunday’s tournament play. It was clear: these athletes came to play, and nothing was slowing them down.

Prime 4th Grade Boys: A Bright Future

The 4th-grade Prime boys fought hard but were knocked out by the Dream Chasers in the tournament on Sunday. Though they didn't make it past the competition, they showcased serious potential—especially on defense and beyond the arc. Keep an eye on these guys; they're just getting started.

5th Grade Girls: Champions of the 2032 Division

The 5th-grade girls team was unstoppable, finishing 4-0 in tournament play and clinching the 2032 girls title. These girls know how to lock down on defense, and their relentless hustle will make them a tough opponent for anyone going forward. Watch out—this team is only getting stronger.

5th Grade Boys: Close, But Not Quite

The 5th-grade boys were another TSI squad with a #1 seed going into Sunday’s action. However, they ran into the Dream Chasers in a nail-biting match and were knocked out in a close battle. And while we won’t go as far as to claim anything fishy was going on (you know the drill at AAU tournaments), let’s just say—sometimes other teams can get creative. #CULTURE!

6th Grade Prime Boys: Dominating the Court

The 6th-grade Prime boys had an incredible weekend, going a perfect 5-0 and cruising to a victory in the 2031 boys division. With unselfish ball movement on offense and scary defense, this team is a force to be reckoned with. Their future is bright—and the competition better watch out.

7th Grade Select: A Heartbreaking Loss

The 7th-grade Select team came into this tournament undefeated across two tournaments, but Sunday wasn’t kind. After two solid wins on Saturday, they were up big against RTG in the Sunday match-up. However, RTG’s pressure defense turned the tide, and despite TSI’s best efforts, momentum shifted and they lost in a close one. Still, this team showed they’re no strangers to adversity and will come back even stronger.

8th Grade Select: The Underdogs Who Shined

The 8th-grade Select team went into a loaded division as the underdogs, but they played like giants, finishing 5-1 and claiming Runner-up in a stacked 8th-grade division. Their grit and determination were on full display, and they proved that they deserve to be considered among the best.

9th Grade Select: Champions and Contenders

The 9th-grade Select team, coming off an incredible 39-8 record last summer—including 5 tournament titles—picked up right where they left off. They were dominant, finishing 5-0 and capturing the tournament title in style. With their length, precision passing, and unstoppable play, they made a statement: they’re not just contenders—they’re a dynasty in the making.

TSI’s Impressive Stats: 26-5 and More Than Just a Program

In total, TSI finished the tournament with a stellar 26-5 record, and teams from all over the South and Midwest were buzzing about the talent coming out of Southern Indiana. It’s clear: TSI is more than just a program—it’s a culture. And with this group of ballplayers, the future of basketball in Southern Indiana is looking brighter than ever.

So, if you haven’t heard of TSI yet, it’s time to start paying attention. This group

is just getting started, and they’re bringing that tornado energy everywhere they go. 🌪️🏀
